happy sabbath!

so… i haven’t been on this thing in a GOOD while! ha! anyways… in the spirit of the sabbath, i thought i’d like to share something with you guys. what’s the best thing that you can do for another person? 

the best thing that you can do for another person is show and give them kindness and love. 

Kindness, although weak and vulnerable, can stand up to the darkest, grossest things. The best thing we can do for others is love them like we love ourselves. Show kindness!

Kindness has the ability to change the trajectory of someone’s heart. 

Love has the ability to plant the little “seed” of kindness and make it grow. 

The best thing that you can do for other is to let the love GOD has for you and to show it to others and show kindness. 

Anyways… thought i’d share it with you guys because this message really touched me. i hope everyone has a good day!

i miss you sooo much! you have no idea how much i miss you. i cry about it every now and then because it hurts that much. i know i only had you for a little while, but it felt like a lifetime the way i just fell for you. i have dreams about you and i know i should embrace it in a good way, but sometimes i can’t. i walk into my house to an empty laundry room with so little of you left behind. i look at your spot in my backyard almost everyday. i know that you were someone else’s dog before me, but for the time i had you, it felt like you were my dog and you were the only one i wanted to take care of. i feel like i could’ve done something more to save you for you to be with me today and i feel like i wasn’t there for you when you had past. i didn’t want you to die alone, but you did; i wanted to be there for you. when i walk into an empty laundry room, it doesn’t feel right. but you’re in a better place now and i hope that you know and felt the love i had for you. R.I.P. my baby sayang… 

good feeling…

i just wanna say that it feels good to FULLY pay off a credit card bill! that feeling is GREAT! i wanted to get it done before i leave for vegas, and that i did… that i did. =]

and just so you know… wednesday IS what day??? <—- only ppl who watch friends will understand that ;-)

it’s been sooo long.

wow! it’s been so long since i’ve done a post! let’s see what i’ve been up to: i started spring quarter at CSUSB and i’m only taking one class bc that’s all i can take; since i’m only taking one class, i’m working a lot more; i recently had my interview with LLUSN (LOMA LiNDA UNiVERSiTY SCHOOL OF NURSiNG) that personally, went well; i’ve been working out a lot more since i have more time on my hands; and that’s about it! just recently, i did a personal training session with one of my friends at school (i had paid for 2 sessions and this past one was my last one) and since i did that training session, I AM FREAKiNG SORE!! it’s crazy!! we worked basically on my legs (since i LOVE LOVE LOVE to rock climb) and now my legs are killing me! it hurts just to TRY and sit down! oh well… at least i know that i did something right! 

as far as my LLUSN interview, i think it went well. i’ve been wanted to be in a nursing program for over a year now and for some reason, i think that this year is my year. *knock on wood* i told the interviewer that i EVERYTHiNG that i thought would get me into the program. i was just flattered that i even got an interview! but hopefully things went well and all i can do is hope and pray! so keep your fingers crossed for me ppl!

family time & NBA all star contests

i LOVE LOVE LOVE it when the all the pinsans (cousins) are together! it’s always the greatest feeling! today was my sister’s pinning/dedication into the nursing program at LLU (hopefully i’ll be there) and all the pinsans gathered together and i NEVER get tired of it! family time is soooo precious to me bc i rarely ever get to see my pinsans! and watching the NBA all star contests today just topped it off. all of the pinsans are lakers fans and we’re planning on getting hyperdunks and wearing them to a laker game!

ok… as for the NBA all star contests tonight… they weren’t great, at least not the slam dunk contest. i was seriously hoping that it was gonna be more exciting than last year, but last year’s slam dunk contest was waaay better! at least nate robinson won. moving on, i HATE that paul pierce won the 3-point shooting contest! i wanted chauncy to win, but he didn’t bring his a game the 2nd time around. blah… well i can’t wait for the all star game to down tomorrow!

making progress…

so this quarter is getting off to a good start: i get a 200/200 on my math midterm and i’ve been getting A’s on my math quizzes; i got an 88/100 on my psyc midterm and i’ve been getting A’s on my psyc quizzes and hw. i gotta keep on keepin’ on (if any of you reading this watch the ellen show, you know where that phrase came from)! i gotta still think positive and just keep working hard! thank you GOD for guiding me, giving me knowledge, and giving me strength!
